I haven't always been the fit mom with abs and toned arms choosing healthy cooked food over fast food. After I had my rainbow babe, I found myself 60 lbs heavier than I was before I ever got pregnant (and I wasn't happy with myself then). I was also battling postpartum depression and anxiety and knew I had to make a change not just for myself, but for my family as well. I went to a birthday party when my daughter was about 12 weeks old and I noticed this mom at the party (who now is my friend lol). This mom looked AMAZING! I could tell she took care of herself both physically and mentally. She was wearing shorts and a tank top and she shined with confidence. I wanted that. Instead of saying "I wish I was like her". I said to myself "If she can do it, so can I". I started working out from home 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week.
For nutrition, I focused on portion control and eating balanced meals all while eating all food groups so I wasn't dieting. (I love carbs!) Here I am years later in the best shape mentally and physically I have EVER been in my entire life. I became a certified personal trainer in 2020 and a certified nutrition coach in 2021. I started my health coaching business, Rain or Shine Fitness, LLC in January of 2021 and every day I wake up and ask myself how and who can I serve today. I think about the mom I used to be; the one who dreaded taking pictures because of how she looked and the one who never wanted to go on date night because she didn't feel confident and sexy in anything she owned. I know I am not alone. I know there are millions of women on this Earth that have similar struggles and all they need is a personal coach like myself to show them how to make the change once and for all.
